I'm a undergad student at UT San Antonio. My major and lifetime love is biology. I want to go to grad school to do genetic research. I am single and trying to stay that way...but somehow that never works out. My one true love is science. I work at a museum teaching kids that science is amazing. My mom is my best friend and my dad is a very strong man. He has bipolar disorder too. I am very close to my family. I want to learn more about myself and how to better deal my bipolar disorder.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I'm a college student. I am working my way through school trying not to let everything fall apart. I don't what I would do without school. It is always a struggle to keep things straight, to not fall to pieces. I have really bad anxiety, and I am just trying to learn to better deal with my bipolar disorder. I need to work on my social skills, communication skills, and confidence.
Treatments
- Celexa Not Working
- took it for a while...didn't help
- Lithium Working / Worked
- I took it for years and just got off it. It was working, but because of potential long term health consequences, it was replaced with lamictal.
- Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
- it helped but made me way too sleepy.
- Zyprexa Working / Worked
- worked alright but made me very sick
- Biaxin Working / Worked
- It works ok. I think I need an additional antidepressant though.
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- I take it as needed for anxiety. It hasnt been working that well lately though.
Close Rape
I am still having trouble dealing with the mental effects of being raped.

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Psychotherapy Too Soon to Tell
- I have been in therapy for a number of years but I always avoid the conversations dealing with my rape. I am only recently starting to recognize the emotional distress and damage it has caused.
