I am on night 6 of taking Atripla. I hate it. I have never felt so bad for so long in my young 26 years. I dread knowing that I will feel like crap when I wake up! I don't know what to do. I want to quit taking the medicine, but at the urging of my partner,Dr.,and dad I am going to keep going...for now. Geeze my Dr. said some side effects, not total shut down of my mental state of mind. Gosh I hate this medicine Atripla.

DON'T QUIT! The side affects subside after a while. I can attest to that. I've been on Atripla almost two months now and I feel great. Read my journals to see how I was affected. I'll keep you in my prayers. It will get better.

Well the crazy side effects of Atripla have at least I think started to settle. I make sure I don't have anything in my stomach when I take it at night. The mornings are still a Vertigo disaster, but after I get past that I feel alright. Today though for somereason I did throw up, but its a lot better than what it has been. I know I am pushing the patience of everyone around me with my nagging and feeling down, I just hope they have the patience to bear with me.

Well, because of my severe reaction ( a rash that quickly spread throughout my whole body ) I have to stop Atripla. I was getting over the other side effects, it being a week since I started and then this. What a freakin setback. When I went to see my Dr. I was so bummed out. I thought I was making great progress and then it was like a slap in the face. I don't know. She said the new medicine ( all 3 of them ) won't have the side effects of Atripla... but will have the same effect on my body and Cd4 count. I hope so, cause I don't think I can go through that mess all over again. Well I am off to Walmart.
