I earnestly searching for others for suffer from Acromegaly and for help and support to encourage me on my journey.
Treatments
- Octreotide Too Soon to Tell
- I just started getting the injections June 19th. The side effects aren't as bad as I had expected but they are a doozy. After receiving the shot I became so tired that when I got home I slept for a couple hours and stayed very tired for 2 weeks. The dizziness and nausea came and went so fast I couldn't keep up with it. I had little stomach pain but did experience headaches. Overall eventually I feel a little better than without the medication, so for now, I will say it is worth it.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Its been 4 weeks and I am seeing encouraging results. Not just with the disease but also with the ruptured disc and scoliosis I suffer with. Also chiropractic adjustments are a true blessing and add much relief!
