Good news for me. Doc says my labs look real good and treatment should be pretty smooth. I have informed him I have a great support system thanks to everyone here. He says that is very important for the mind to work with the heart in recovery of this disease. I agree.. I feel hope evertime I log on.. Thanks everyone.

Sunday, July 5, 2009 | A Positive story

I have been on the internet all day learning everything I can about Hep C. I have looked up all my tests and found out what each of the liver function, lipid panels and CBC's are and what they mean. What Stage 2 and Grade 2 mean in the biopsy world and treatments. OMG!!! Plus I had no idea or even thought about diet, foods to avoid, certain herbs that help or hurt and the list goes on. Jucies, tea's, saturated fats, lemons, calcium and no iron ect.. Wow my heads going to pop off !!!

I do know that knowledge is power and I'm lucky I soak it up like a sponge....

That is wonderful, yes indeed "Knowledge is Power"
The more you know about the disease, the more careful you need to be in taking care of yourself. Which is great!
I see that you have the same biopsy report that I had, years ago.
    I have fibrosis scarring also.
Did the 48 weeks journey, and managed to kill the dragon.
This was many years ago, 5 1/2 to be exact.
    What genotype are you again?
    I was genotype 1a.
So I am so happy that you took the time to litterally learn everything you could soak in, in order to understand what you are dealing with...
Good luck at slaying the dragon.
    Love & Respect,
    Mckenzie
