I have been married since 02 and have a 3 year old ball of energy who was diagnosed last year as HCV positive as well. Just recently I was told I have advanced cirrhosis. I'm sorry yours advanced - even with healthy living practices and also with your docs knowing about it since grade school. Someone must have dropped the ball on your follow up. I know that I'm very, very blessed that I even though I have had Hep C for so many years (54) I still have a fairly good liver (grade 1/stage1). You have a great attitude and that will keep you strong for you and for your 3 year old. Are you going to do treatment?

Don't give up on the idea of adoption. You never know what God has planned for you. So i guess your husband is negative? My Hepatologists says it is really hard to get. Do you know how you got it? If that is too personal then please just say so. I am always curious! Your little man will be fine and you just need to take care of yourself so that you can get him through this.

I was born with HCV, my son was born with it, and now I am showing signs of advanced cirrhosis. Yikes.
