"Feeling much better now that the surgery is behind us."

Okay, it has been a few weeks now and I have had some positive feedback from several of you.

Yes, I know modern technology and the advancement of Modern Medicine is amazing, but i still know of the risks involved.  What my fear is now is the infection or infections that could happen with the rods in place.  I have heard of some cases where the patients endure months of infection after infection and months of antibiotics.

I am going to do what is best for my daughter's well being and will procede with the surgery and hope for the very best.

I don't like the idea of her missing two months of school and trying to keep up to make her excellent grades she is so use to getting.  We are keeping busy for the most part, doing everything that she will be limited to after the surgery.  Yes, you might say there is a little bit of spoiling going on, but what the heck.  I know we won't be able to do these activities for quite some time.

I am also very afraid of paralysis.  Do I worry too much?  Probably.....

Have any of you ever heard of this book "Scoliosis Surgery, The Difinitive Patient's Reference"?

Any other good reads you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.

Until next time, thanks for listening.
