  Hi Everyone,

    My mother is 83 years old. She was dignosed with cirhrosis about 3yrs ago. She has multiple health issues,heart disease,diabetes,thyroid, celiac disease,anemia. She has stomach pain all the time wih either diarrhea or constipation.The oddest thing to me is that her liver fuctions are all within normal range . She has never drank alcohol or had risky behaior that would normally cause the cirrhosis. She has been on Lactulose,but herGI Dr. just took her off of it because he thought it might be causing the stomach pain and bloating and lots of gas.He put her on Xiloxan which she has only been on for 2 days She takes so many pills for all of her health issue. I feel like she is over medicated , but all of her Drs.say she needs eash one of them. She is contantly tired and never feels good, but she keeps on going. Today she was out in the yard picking up trash and doing what ever she feels like. I just feel bad for her because no one seems to have any answers for what caused the cirrhosis.
