I am 47 yrs. old and have been on disability since 1993. I work part-time (14 hrs./week) in a call center, and I score minor league baseball games. I am happily single and have two cats.

Thank you for your hug :) I am doing ok...still trying to find out what works. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so hopefully she will have some idea of why I have OA at 25. I will let you know how it goes. ;)

Close Arthritis
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in 2005, which has gotten progressively worse. I now have significant arthritis with bone spurs in my hands, neck, spine, hips, and sacroiliac joints. I have just started going to a pain management clinic and have had small improvements, but am just beginning to realize that pain is probably going to be a part of my life from now on. It can be frustrating, but am trying to deal with it all.
Treatments
- Clinoril Too Soon to Tell
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Somewhat Helpful
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Did not work.
- Meditation Considering
- Naproxen Not Working
- Did not work.
- Pain Management Clinic Too Soon to Tell
- Have had 2 SIJ injections and one spinal nerve block. Am scheduled for a 2nd nerve block next week with a goal of having a spinal radiofrequency ablation. I'm willing to try just about anything at this point!
- Relafen Not Working
- Did not work.
- Tylenol Somewhat Helpful
- I take 2 Tylenol for Arthritis tablets 3 times per day (total of 6 per day). I've been doing this since June, 2005.
- Voltaren Not Working
- Did not work.

I've was diagnosed with major depression in 1986 and have been on disability since 1993.

Open Congenital Heart Disease
Type: Stenosis (pulmonary or aortic) / AtresiaI was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve in 2007. Presently my heart has an extra beat and I experience periodic chest pains. I get a yearly echo to keep an eye on things.

I was diagnosed with OA in 2005, which has gotten progressively worse. I have significant arthritis in my spine, hips, sacroiliac joints, neck, and hands.

- Nerve Blocks Too Soon to Tell
- Will be having my 2nd spinal nerve block next week (July 8) They are working towards doing a radiofrequency ablation in my spine.
- Neurontin Not Working
- I had a bad reaction to Neurontin. It made my left arm numb.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Topamax Not Working
- I had an "allergic" reaction to Topomax. It helped me lost a lot of weight, but it caused me to have one ear infection after another. Doctors could not explain that. You also cannot drink sodas as they taste horrible!
