I had two interviews this week, but no job offer yet. They are both desirable positions with 3 or 3.5 month old babies. At least the mothers showed up to the appointments with their wee ones. Of the 3 appointments, 2 of the moms selected me to contact which is a very positive sign that my profile is good enough to attract young parents. The vast majority of parents solicit responses from candidates, and then weed through them.
My life has always been "feast or famine", and so this week and the week before have been ..... I just received a message from one of the moms that I didn't get the job.....sigh.
Well at least she had the courtesy to let me know via e-mail.
Don't much feel like writing anymore.
Got up bright and early this morning. Arrived on time at Starbucks to meet and be interviewed by a mom who is interested in employing me as a nanny. Half hour later.....still a no-show. Very disappointed in my very first shot at employment in a very long time. Get home.....check my e-mail. She left me an e-m at 9:13 saying she couldn't make it to our 8:45 appointment!!!!! & that she lost my phone #. Should I reschedule with this flake? Is this going to be a case of unpaid "overtime" every day? Oy.....life is a bitch sometimes. 
I received an e-mail from another mom who is interested in me as a f/t nanny for her 3-1/2 month old baby girl. WHOOPEE!!! Who says that prayer doesn't work? I haven't felt this emotionally good in a very long time.
I had a great chat with one of my buddies on DS today; I feel good about life just now.
