I am an unwed mother to a four-legged baby named Cannoli. I haven't worked in two years, but I am bound and determined to get back into the work force. I am the primary caregiver for my 81 year old mother, and any day that murder/suicide is not on my mind is a good day.....LOL! I am looking forward to having my 21 month old great-niece and her parents move in with me next month. Oh happy day!

I was gone to stay at my stepdad and daughter's place for a week. His pc was having problems and I could not sit on that hard chair for too long so sat on a wonderful recliner reading a great book when I was off my feet and while there the peripheral edema was down 90% AND the new butt, hip, thigh thing gave me less pain so I could stand up for like 10 minutes at a time. How are you? Seems you are not here too much or maybe I need to look at my friend's list more. Less pain, more energy, plenty of hope and lots of love my friend. Take care of you. : )

: )Howdy Carol, this is a first here. So glad you are here and hope you find as many friends and as much support as I have here. This is by far my favorite site. I haven't been active on Disaboom for a long, long time. The boards and childish, negative conflicts just weren't for me. I'm happy you found me! Less pain, more energy, plenty of hope and lotsa love to you. How ya been? Me--Fibro, DDD, Arthritis all progressing and more nerve pain flares, almost constantly and a new thing going on with my butt, hip, pelvis, left leg and peripheral edema constantly now, my doc doesn't have a clue but thinking hypothyroidism, God I hope so and not something like CHF. I thought it couldn't get worse but it is wayyyy worse now. Still no SSD. Take care and let's stay in touch for sure. I'm better at staying in touch on a site than my regular email. Love and hugs....

- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- Helped a little at the beginning of use, but was useless after a short while. No longer use.
- Elavil Not Working
- Never touched the pain for me. Not using any longer.
- Ultram Not Working
- Never worked for me. No longer in use.
- Ambien Somewhat Helpful
- Helped a little at first but lost any effect after a short while. Not using any more at all.
- Melatonin Working / Worked
- Take 1 to help with getting to nonrestorative sleep.
- Benadryl Working / Worked
- Take a couple with the melatonin to aid with sleep.
Close Non-hodgkin's Lymphoma
I am a survivor of NHL with long-term side effects.
Treatments
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- One of many chemos that successfully treated my NHL.
- Novantrone Working / Worked
- One of many chemos that successfully treated my NHL.
- Rituxan Working / Worked
- Received Atavan prior to each chemo treatment that began with Rituxan. Without the Atavan, Rituxan caused major anxiety and personality changes.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I received intense amounts of steroids throughout my treatment both through my port and orally which caused a great deal of pain.
