saw a counselor one on one for the first 2 years. basically kept me from suicide several times. really helpful

Reiki Working / Worked

did this for 2 years after the individual counselling. needed body work, but found anger release too threatening

Group Therapy Working / Worked

not helpful. found it too threatening, and it just messed up my head

Faith Working / Worked

Found God, through a Christian friend, as I went through the healing.Brought me so much comfort, and help, through direct intervention and the people he sent me.

Close Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

I was sexually abused by my father from the age of 11 to 16 that I amabsolutely certain of. I have flashbacks and body memeories rarely now, and far less intense than they used to be. I had to do body work eventually, but I found anger release quite terrifying. We lived with my dad's anger. So I tried Reiki, and had a lot of relief. I would like to have some contact with others who have PTSD, for support for eachother.

Art Working / Worked

Did some art work with my Reiki therapist, and had some great releases with it.

Effexor Working / Worked

Effexor,(and trazadone helped me eventually get some sleep. Would love to be drug free. But the psychiatrist said I had a 90 % chance of another severe depression.

Supportive Care Working / Worked

Had counselling for 4 years, initially at twice a week, then once a week. Finished with therapy last fall. Wanted to get on with the business of living.
