A Better Day Mood
Thursday, July 2, 2009 | A General Update story
Reunited with my dear friend last night. It felt soooo good to be with her. She is totally supportive and encouraging. I haven't cried any today. In fact I'm feeling pretty good despite my body aches. Still waiting to hear about insurance. I'll just be glad to get it started. It's a good day.

I can't help but wonder how much of all this discomfort and even some pain that I've been suffering with for at least the past year is from the cirrhosis. Fatigue has been around the longest and I'm certain it has a lot to do with it. Several months ago I started noticing additional discomfort in my joints (i thought it was my weight...and very well could be)and then few months ago I started having muscle spasms in my back. I'm glad they only last a few seconds because they are unbearable. This week I have noticed more discomfort in my right hip than usual and today it was even more aggravated and I felt shots of pain sweep through to my thigh and even my back. I can't imagine more discomfort coming. Everything the nurse was telling me could happen (side effects) has already been happening. Are these usual symptoms of hepc and/or cirrhosis? I was so exausted last night I passed out around 7pm only to wake up around 9pm. I'm still awake. Think I'll TRY to sleep now.

i have experienced everything you just mentioned, within the last few years!

it must be from the hepc, because i've only been on tx for the last 2 months.
i don't know why it bothers right hip & leg so much, except that the liver is located on the right side of the body. the pain would start in my hip, then work its way around to right under the butt, and continue down around the thigh, to my knee, and all the way down my leg. even my feet & ankles hurt.

i was tested for all kinds of stuff, and diagnosed with fibromyalgia, before the HepC was found, so yeah, i'd say those are usual symptoms!

    take care.................
