Even though I turn 40 this year and I feel like I'm turning 400, I like to think I'm still a big kid at heart. I'm still the guy who titters at accidental double entendres, the dork who loves making puns and building weird creatures out of snow and the former entertainment editor who remains convinced that "Cannibal the Musical" and "Return of the Killer Tomatoes" rank next to "Monster's Ball" and "Sling Blade" as the best movies of all time. I love gothic music, writing fiction, reading books and taking photographs. Sometimes it seems like I've forgotten how to laugh and forgotten how to share myself with people. I'd like to do that again.

Results of the thursday day at the vet. Pooh's hematocrit when from 13.1 to 25 normal is 28. His hemoglobin went from 3.9 to 7.2 normal being 8.6. He just about doubled everything. Vet was amazed said pooh certainly used one of his 9 lives this time. It was a miracle that they found the parasite in time. So we have to continue with the antibiotic for the parasite and we are weaning him of the prednisone. The vet wants to see him again for more blood work up in three weeks from now. Whew!!!!
talk about being on a rollercoaster ride with my emotions. One minute your baby is going to die and the next minute he is on the road to recovery.
I just got diagnosed. Everyone's deluging me with books I don't want to read that want me to be inspired. I'm still in the cranky, OMG stage. :)
