This is my first entry as I just joined five minutes ago!My daughter Laura is a member of several years ,but this is a first for me.Laura is my only Daughter and I am so proud of her,she is a walking miracle.She was born thitreen weeks early and only weighed one ound thirteen ounces.It caused a bleed to the brain which in turn lead to hydrocephalus,but she never has complained,or let it get her down(well not so it shows)she is very caring,loving,sensitive,bright and patient it put`s me to shame as I do not have half of her quality`s.Laura is in the hospital at the moment with a suspected shunt malfunction,however her ct scans have been fine.She is in terrible pain,vomiting,eye pain,but neurosurgeon cannot find anything which is very frustrating for Laura and myself.I do not know where to turn as I have to leave her after visiting is over which is difficult
It was easier when she was a kid as I could be there all the time,but she Is an adult and I have to realise that I suppose and Laura does have to keep reminding me of that fact even when she is well.I feel better for sharing some of my feeling`s even if only a wee bit,I live in Scotland and there is not really anything like this there it is a fantastic idea.Will write some more tomorow and
hope Laura is feeling better as she is in a lot of pain.
