my ibs comes with fatigue and bloating, pain in the abdomin but not so severe, and constipation, before it was diharrea (5 months back), the bloating with diharrea is better than having bloating with constipation, because it makes you go immediately after dinner but it is frustrating as well, like being in church and you feel the need to loo and you have to leave in the middle of the mass, when i was a baby i was constipated my mother used to give me dulcolax or milk of magnesia, by the time I started my perods i started having diharrea, i never went to a doctor by that time, 5 months back i had long stress periods, before i had fibromyalgia, pain all over which now i can manage but before it used to make me feel bad, no tiredness , but ibs c is presenting with being exhausted, not all the time but most of the time, at times i'm hyper, like when i think of something or somone i forget i'm tired, but other times when i'm normal i feel slightly tired, but i don't walk or run or do any chorse because i will find i will get exhausted, i did the tests during these 5 months and all is ok, in many websites they mention thyroid but mine was normal levels, or ms but i had emg and all was fine , that was last year though..i had a neuro exam he didn't find any ms symptoms when i described him symptoms.., that time though i had diherrea no exhaustion but when i went to a regular gp, he told me that i had nothing to worry about and that ms is not common in mediterranean countries like in Malta, Italy , Greece etc..because there is no tests for ms, so they diagnose by a simple physical exam also i had abdominal ultrasound which maybe useful or support some of it's diagnoses... as i already repeated tvus are normal, i wish i can have a laparoscopy but they won't allow, even knowing my cbc is good. so widespread muscular pain going for more than 6 months is fibro, if cbc, cpk, srp, hiv etc are all normal even emg , and thyroid and diabetes normal (family on my mother's side suffer diabetes but i don't think it\'s hereditary but still i wante to do the test) having to stay without food for 16 hours is terrible though but in a way i didn't feel bloated since i didnt' eat..so then it might be effects of ibs, and fibro together...or ibs can have side effects of widespread muscular pain, that time i had fibro i had diharrea most of the time..my parents say i'm obsessed with my health and that doctors are always right, ok i can tell you the names of the doctors i visited one by one at st james hospital, i think i have seen all the doctors gp (S) that go there there are more or less 5 or 6 doctors and i have seen all of them i think. lately i have seen both gynecologists and a gastrentologist; but again i'm left without answer...it seems blood tests and ultrasounds are the first thing one can do to see if thre is abnormalities, endoscopies for those with bowel problems.., but wheni ask for laparoscopy they get like 'you have no abnormalities so you shouldn't stress on having one' i was scheduled for a gastroscopy but this was cancelled because the doctor felt i did a lot of tests, based on his physical findings, and that my fatigue and muscle pain is ibs and bowel related (ibs d or c but now i'm c)....ok sometimes it's my mind that make me fatigued, but i feel tired enough that i cannot walk long distances, but my friends help me to do it, and urge me not to think that i'm tired, and one of my collegues says if i think i'm tired then i will really feel tired, sometimes when i don't think about it , it will ease up... ! also when i think i'm tired i loose concentration in everything, including driving and working, i tend to make mistakes when this happens, since ibs started my life is a total mess! and i blame myself for having stressed upon a stupid thing back to March, i had a brief relationship and i was always thinking that this can bring hiv, 4 months later i tested and it came back negative.., my periods used to be light, i had a friend her periods were absent when she turned out to be a celiac, it took sometime for the cycle to come back to normal, mine are not that light though, i mean i eased my stress levels, two days of my cycle are a bit heavy, the third day is too light to non existent and the first day is light too, but as long as there are two days of normal cycle then it means the cycle is adjusting.....probably that's why this will go down to stress and ibs...but i dont' think that ibs effects periods, i read about endo. but i dn't know if this can show on a tvu!!!! what tests are done to see if it's endo but usually this present with heavy peroids i read..just give me some light on this !!! ok probably stress can bring about anything, but the strange thing is they are 'only in one's head' not real because tests are usualy negative, i asked many times to stay in hospital but doctors say 'how can you stay in hospital when you feel completely well'? funny isn't it? i think i have to stick with the doctors, and would live using laxatives and eat less...! before one day i get proper diagnoses other than ibs!!!
