Close Myelodysplasia
Diag with acute myeloid leukemia 4/15/09. Had 7 days of chemo in AZ and bone m test showed remission. Took another bone m test in MN on 6/25/09 and it now shows Myelodysplastic Syndrome, which they say was there prior and is now just showing. I understand that there are 8 types of this. Can anyone verify this? I don't know which I have. I am bummed about this as they say there is no cure but rather I just have to monitor blood counts and if they stay up, this could remain dormant.
Treatments
- Blood Transfusion Too Soon to Tell
- Took these while taking Chemo to bring up hemoglobin.
