Softball, basketball, quad racing, school. I'm planning to get into a pre-med program and eventually become a surgeon. After my stays in hospitals I realized this was what I'd like to do with my life!

Hi Mary its so comforting to hear from you. I read your message to my daughter too.
She was recently diagnosed in the middle of a bad flare. Since being on the prednisone a few days she is feeling a little better so far. It has been so hard for her.
her friends asked her to go to holiday world this tuesday and she had to turn them down . She feels her friends dont understand. I see that your daughter found out more than a year ago has she had many flares? I think it would be so good for the girls to talk and support each other. As a parent I feel helpless.... lets stay in touch I think its great that they are the same age.

hi, well, sorry to say but no, i havent carried out any of my dreams in the career side of things, nor my qualifications but i am slowly carrying out my dream of having a family. Im getting married next year to a wonderful fiance and trying to have a baby. I could go back to get my education etc.. but i cant afford it, and to be honest, i just wanna be a mum which i no doesnt sound like the best thing but it is to me! i took 2 years to get like i am, which is mainly remmission, but its ok. my advice is to do as much as u feel comfortable with. If i dont wanna do something strenuious or walk a long distance because im unwell i wont! simple! u no how u work, u no how u feel, (a bit of a horrible bit but..) no1 will ever understand what your going through, they mite have Crohn's or Colitis and have had similar situations but they dont know you, they dont know what ur pain thress hold is?! mine for instance, i can cope with bad stomach pains for 2 years but if someone pinches me its hurts really bad! its strange! all i can say is keep ur head up, life does go on, it will get better, u will have some bumps in the road but who doesnt?! urs are just mountains instead of bumps!!!, but u can do whatever you want! dont let crohn's control u, control it!!!
