Close Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in 2003. It is still hard to manage symptoms and get support from family since they do not understand.
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Working / Worked
- I really like this treatment option. It seems to work well with no side effects.
- Synthroid Somewhat Helpful
- I was on this treatment until 2008. So, for 5 years, I still had all the symptoms of the disease. It did not work well for me and was eventually able to get my doctor to try other treatments
Close Narcolepsy
I was diagnosed with narcolepsy in 2006. Doesn't matter much. Still tired.
Treatments
- Provigil Working / Worked
- It seems to work well enough for me to make it through a day. If I begin to wane or haven't taken it by noon, it is best to skip it or I won't be able to sleep.
