"Day 5 Transfer on Sat"

I'm back Mood

Well, I talked to my RE about taking some time off, to regroup mentally and emotionally before we do our last IVF round.  I wanted to wait until after the holidays, but she really thinks that waiting could do more harm than good (I turn 42 in December).

So we decided to go for it.  And this time, I'm going to just relax.  I'm not going to do the acupuncture (it's so far away and so expensive), and I'm going to continue with my half caffeinated cup of coffee in the morning.  I am going to continue to eat dairy and gluten.  During these injections, I'm going to have a sip or glass of wine if I want one (of course I'll stop once embryo transfer happens).  I'm just NOT going to obsess and try to control things and stress out this time around.

My hope is to try and actually enjoy myself during this round of injections.  To let go a bit, and to let things happen.

So I start injections on Thursday, and egg retrieval is scheduled during Thanksgiving week.  That is nice, b/c we will stay at home instead of travel for Thanksgiving (our first Thanksgiving at our house, just the two of us).

My right ovary is still "sleepy" so I'm not sure how well this round will work.  But I'm not giving up.  I really feel like I have some good eggs in me.  And I'm ready to have a baby!

Christine, I have a good feeling about his cycle. I really do. And I love your attitude too! I'm glad that your doctor talked you into it. I know it's easier said than done but I'm really happy that you're going to do it a bit differently (ie eating dairy and gluten, a glass of wine, etc). Keep me posted...And lots of luck! :)
