Mid week - old and grumpy Mood
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 | A General Update story

Where to start? Weight check today was 99. So it's going up a little.

For the first time in over a year - I am COLD. The A/C is on in the office, and it is cold in here. I'm thinking it's yet another sign that the ablation worked and I am moving to hypO.

Also, my resting heart rate this morning is 72! It hasn't been under 80, and usually it's been above 95, for the 15 months I've been checking it.

My hair is falling out  - what seems like a lot to me. I know that that will happen after pregnancy, but I don't remember it being this bad after the first two pregnancies.

I had two reminders last week that I am getting older. The first was while my son was showing me some of his work from 3rd grade - lattice multiplication. It makes sense, but it seems a lot harder than how I learned multiplication. Silly me, I started thinking "I wonder when they changed to that?" and then I remembered it has been nearly 30 years since I was in 3rd grade! Over a quarter of a century - of course things are going to change in that amount of time. I'm getting old. Then, I got an email from a family friend who is applying for a job at my company. I used to babysit for his kids when I was a teen, and those little kids are now parents! He has FIVE grandkids. If the kids I babysat are hiring babysitters of their own now, I must be getting old!

It's been very stressful at work - worked until 8:30 one night and 9:30 the next night last week. Poor kiddos had to stay at daycare or come back to the office with me. Big project did finally get done at about 5 on Friday though, so now I'm stuck in the muck and mire of catching up everything else I was supposed to do last week but couldn't because of the big project. And I can't believe the month is already half over. I don't know how I'm going to get everything done by month end. I am however very grateful that I am one of the few who kept our jobs, and not one of the many let go at the end of last month.

Little man's bloodwork came back fine, so at least for now I know it's not his thyroid causing his slow growth and mood swings. We are switching to Strattera from Vyvanse over the course of this month. Things have been much better since the day before he started the Stratterra... Please Lord, I need him to be well.

Haven't heard from little girl's dad since before the 4th. I guess his life is just too busy to see his baby girl. He hasn't seen her since December, and hasn't even asked about her. He only made mention of coming to visit after he was forced to start paying child support (over $5K in arrears!) so we'll see if he ever does come visit or become active in her life. She is awesome. Starting some "big people" food. Still not crawling but can turn a full 360 when sitting and sometimes scoots on her butt. Her 9 month check up is at the end of the month.

I'm just grumpy today. Tired. I have a headache. I'm cold. And I have so much work to do there is no end in sight. Plus all of the stuff I'm behind on at the house. Some day...

Wow, to be 37 again. I graduated from collage at age 40. I by then had a a married son and daughter, a granddaughter and 3 teen's at home stil I was a CNA at age 50. Graves' by 53, TED by 55. And now at age 62 we are moving back to the country and building a house on the land my dad left me.

Did I forget to mention I have 5 kids, 4 step kids, 24 grandchildren, 4 great grandkids and a another one on the way. Six of my kids are older then you. Now, that should make you feel younger. You are never to old.

Just trying to make you feel better
