About Me
I am 39 and have a dog, and 3 cats. I care for a 12 yr old boy and work with my niece on goals and coping skills with short term memory loss. I love to read, watch movies and learn about almost anything. I am not married but have 10 nephews and nieces who keep me busy. My mom is a big support and also my best friend. I also enjoy supporting children's causes and helping parents of children with special needs by offering to watch their child so they can have time to themselves.

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I am waiting for approval for the Roux en-Y surgery. My doctor will be Dr. Huse from St. Vincent Carmel Bariatric.
Close Bipolar Disorder
I have Bipolar, I have understood every mental illness I've been diagnosed except this one. Looking to understand.

- Abilify Somewhat Helpful
- still increasing dose
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Very good, structured program, anyone could benefit from this
- Geodon Working / Worked
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- Yes, works but lots of talking from everyone, need a good facilitator/therapist to make it work.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- I believe it works, but as of now I am on a lot of other meds to try to even me out.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Can't go without it. My doctor says my body responds well with it in the regimen.
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- Not sure
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- When I'm on it I feel like Why am I? But when I go off or decrease the dose I soon remember why.
- Writing Too Soon to Tell
- The other night I was all over the place in my head and not able to get anything done. I sat at the computer to write out what was going through my mind and ended up writing for 1 hr and went from 24 wdsmin. to 14wdsmin. So my mind slowed down and the next day when I tried to do the same I was thinking slower and had nothing really to say.
