You and I have so much in common.
I am hoping my son will go out of state as soon as he is released. I'm working on it, and he is all for it as well. -

Prayer
PammyC (09/29/09)
Hi Cherrie,
I pray your son does well this time. You are so right, other than the obvious, this is a parent's worst nightmare. I pray my son makes it, but to be honest, I am not overly optimistic. But, like you, no more rehabs after this. My son is only 18, I don't if that is the right decision. I just know when do you finally say enough. He is in sober living in CA now. Wants out says its too hot, and too rural. Oh Well. He live anytime, but we refuse to fly him back. I think I am more afraid than he is. I am sorry for your pain, not in a million years did I think we would deal with this. We thought because we buried C's cousin from heroin overdose only 21, his uncles and aunt are addicts that he saw enough to know. But unfortunately, come to find out that's a pre-disposition. Not to mention my own mother being an alcoholic. Go figure!!

I' going crazy he has been out of the house for a little over a week.He is living with who knows who.He doesn't look very happy with his situation. He passed his drug test however he has been sick for the last 2 days.Today was pay day so I'm hoping he is doing the right thing. It's sad that we think the worse but they made us this way.I hope to god he proves me wrong.I want my husband to test him with a home drug test at work to see if he is clean.Depending on the outcome we will go from there. He is talking to his dad and knows that things have to change.Better then last weeks additude. It's just very sad not knowing what to do or how to do it.How are you doing????

My son went to Lakeview in Jacksonville FL.The program worked we were very impressed when we flew out for a 4 day family workshop.I learned alot as well.My son did well for 100 days and relapsed. He isn't asking for help and that concerns me because how can you help someone when they don't want help. However he's got a disease and doesn't realize her needs help.If we don't help him who will???
