    Give cdenny a hug

    • Hug

      From JenkinsBride Thursday

Well, I've been working for the most part. Recently I've been out for 3 weeks due to a whole lot of complications following gallbladder surgery (not heart related).
I have found that I have pretty decent energy--enough to do my job. Once I get home, I have very little left in me, but I don't have to struggle too hard to get through the work day. If I get a whisper of a cold, that changes, of course. Where is your ef at? I hope you are on aggressive meds to get that up!
It sounds like it is exhausting for you to be teaching 2nd grade full time. I do dream about being able to take a year to recover, but my insurance is through me and it is soooo good. I couldn't risk losing any of my benefits. I am lucky that I have a lot of sick time saved up and very flexible coworkers. Do you have much time saved up? Do the folks at your school understand the full picture of what you are going through?
      Big hugs your way!
      :o)

I quit teaching years ago and worked for 13 years at a nuclear power plant. And now I work for American Express. Long story short...I'm still not on disability.

I don't know why he's doing that either. My cardiologist knows that I have bad days. And he is very supportive. However, in my case, he also emphasizes that I need to do my cardiac rehab. But I also have a stent. Of course, cardiac rehab is far easier than teaching. i used to be a 1st grade teacher
