Single mother of one disabled son. Our farm took my husbands life 7 years ago and both of my sons arms at the shoulder when he was 12 years old. He is now 19. I do not work as I do not have to because of husbands life insurance policy.

I can't even begin to write here why I have joined this site!!! All I can say is that sometimes nothing can prepare a woman for circumstances beyond her control as a single mother.

I have been caring for my son since he was 12 years old. He is now 19. When he was 12 he was with my husband on a piece of farm equipment which overturned. My husband was killed instantly and my son lost both his arms at the shoulders. The doctors were just not able to save them.
