      I am a stage IV surivor (in remission for 16 yrs), but now it is back and luckily only a stage III this time. I have been married to a wonderful man for 17yrs (my knight in shining armor), have a son and a beautiful granddaughter.

      I am an avid skeet and sporting clays shooter. It is one of the best stress busters I have found to date. Not only that, but concentrating on the "bird" makes everything else going on in the world simply disappear!

    • Close Colon Cancer
      Stage: IIA (T3, N0, M0)

      2nd bout with colon cancer. survived stage IVD the first time, more worried about this one even though it is only stage IIA.

      Treatments

      5-FU Working / Worked
      I was in remission for 16 years - did a weekly course for 52 weeks with very little side effects, I worked 5 days a week through the entire treatment.
      Oxaliplatin Considering
      just talked to onc about this treatment. side effects seem more severe than I was expecting.
      Surgery Working / Worked
      worked in 1994 and hopefully it has worked in 2009!
