My journey with Ovarian Cancer Mood
Monday, June 22, 2009
I was dx with Ovarian Cancer ( primary peritineal carcinoma) stage 3c on Dec 8,2008. After complete debulking surgery on Dec 18  everything went fast. Started chemo Feb 2009. Chemo consisted of carbo/taxol/avastin (trial). Just completed 6 rounds will now complete trial of Avastin/placebo. Most recent CA125 is 4 and ct-scan is clear. Here's to hoping that Avastin continues to work and can become part of standard treatment .

Hi there, I too was dx with primary peritineal carcinoma stage III in July of '07. Had my surgery in Aug, started chemo in Sept. I had both an IV port and an IP port with taxol/cisplatin. Very intense treatment. Could not take any more that 3 rounds like that, so my DR changed me to more standard regime of taxol/carboplatin through my arm. I had trouble with my ports. Finished chemo in Jan '08 with my CA 125 down to 2. Thank God it has remained low (4.5) since than. I wish you all the luck in the world in beating this thing. I have heard wonderful things about Avastin. Love and hugs to you. Anita
