I am totally blind, a Christian since 1995, and have been diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder as well as Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I know I need God's help to deal with these things, and the help of other Christians. I would also like to help support others going through similar things as myself.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I have been diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder, and am seeking the help of other Christians to deal with it. I also wish to help and support others in any way I can.
Treatments
- Depakote Considering
- I was on Depakote for a short time in 2007, but only for a short time. My current psychiatrist is considering putting me on it again. It seemdd to help, but it made me extremely hungry, want to eat all the time, and thus gain weight.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- I am currently doing this, and it is helping. It teaches me how to monitor my mood swings, and cope with them as they occur. The therapy has been even more helpful than my meds.
- Holistic Health Working / Worked
- I have used massage, Reiki therapy, and chiropractic. All of these help me deal with the physical, mental, and emotional part os this disease. There have been no negative side effects, but they are expensive, and not covered by insurance.
- Lamictal Too Soon to Tell
- I have just been put on this drug.
- Lithium Considering
- My doctor is considering combining this with my Lamictal.
- Seroquel Not Working
- I was on this medicine several years ago to help control mania. However, it made me sleep up to 15 hours a day, and simply unable to function.
- Topamax Not Working
- I was also tried on this medicine several years ago. It made me sleep, have nightmares, and hallucinations.
