I am 53 and have just finished taking meds for my 3rd attack. the docs are taking surgery with me also. this is the most frusterating and stupid problem. I agree it messes up your ability to have a life and a job. I worry everytime I go on vacation that I will be in the Er. I also miss alot of work. I am a self employed sales rep. My boss needs me and I am sure he cant understand why I dont get better and stay well. I understand what you are going through competely. amanda

I have had diverticulitis for over 7 years. I have had over 15 flare ups and a bowel resection.
