Why are you
in the damp cold earth
my darling?
You should be here with me
beside the fire.
Why are you
silent and alone
my darling?
You should be here with me
in my arms.
Why are you
so far away
my darling?
I need you now,
here,
with me.

Margaret that is exactlly how I feel. Here in California it is getting cold and I wonder if my husband is cold and it might sound crazy but sometimes I want to cover the grave so that it is warm because he did not like feeling cold. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Hugs Linda

A beautiful poem that sums up many of the feelings of grief. It is a long, slow journey. My thoughts are with you.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time right now. It's been over seven months and the pain is still overwhelming sometimes. I'm thinking of you and sending you peace and Love, Carol
