Giving Up! Mood
Wednesday, October 7, 2009 | An Inspiring story

I have read Lovewin's entry. I thought of our family situation. Then I ask myself, really?

The sick want to give up. The 'healty' want to give up. What about the dead? Who will speak for them? If u are sick, it does not mean that u are unable. If u are healthy it does not mean u are able.

Most crimes against humanity are committed by the 'healthy'. This is because the inner-self does not advertise its standing. We, as a people, are much concerned about the outer self. That is why we are easily duped and fleeced of the little possessions and dignity.

Our outer self is not a reflection of our inner self. Let the inner self be our guide, let it over-rule the outer self. Sickness can destroy the flesh, yes. It can cause pain, yes. It can even cause death, yes!  But, as someone put it, "the good that man do lives after them".

That, my dear brothers and sisters, is the essence of life. Live in such a way that all those left behind will have fond memories of you . . .

. . . He was sick, but he was such a comfort, i will miss his ideas, he made me laugh so much that I would forget the troubles, you couldn't say he was sick . . . I don't know how he managed it! etc, etc, etc.

That, my dears, is you after  departing to the other world.

Focul Segmentalglomerulo Schlerosis Mood
Monday, October 5, 2009 | A Painful story

In the last and only entry, I advised abot my son with FSGs. I have been trying to figure out/find out the difference between FSGS and PKD.

That being said, my son is sometimes irtritable, feels terribly hot and can't sleep at night. He sometime feels nauseous and won't eat anything, has head and stomach aches.

After dialysis, he sometimes is very active, too active to be very puzzling, as if he is missing out on something. How do we cope? We do not sleep when he has these flashes and pains, we do not have 'peace' when he is on the role . . .

Don't get me wrong, we want him happy and annoying, but these extremes are what makes us sad. We cannot cope.

Any ideas: what the problem might be or how to cope with it?

FSG Mood
Tuesday, June 23, 2009

In 2001, my then 5-year-old son was diagnosed with FSG-a kidney disease (F0cul segmental glomel . . ).

He was hospitalised, treated and discharged. We were then made to understand that everything was now OK.

Sadly, the desease has resurfaced now and the young man, it seems, has no chance except for dialysis and kidney transplant. This was confirmed by the Doctor just yesterday-22/06/09. The young man was just starting high school! We do not have enough money to start on the dialysis. There are no machines in public hospitals. There are only about three of them around the country (a country called Zimbabwe).

HOW next . . .?
