  Your husband is like the rest of them, they don't worry about it until it's time, IF then! This seems to be more so for military guys. My son didn't give me any info until minutes before his deployment and his wife has nothing. It gets easier if you take control now since you will be expected to take care of yourself while he is gone. My son told me that he wanted his wife to start to be more pro-active in finding info since he wouldn't be here to hold her hand while he was gone. He basically wanted to know that she was going to be ok without him to help her....in advance of his deployment. So, maybe that's another way of looking at it. Show him that you can survive without him holding your hand and that you are a strong woman with or without his help. You are or you wouldn't be a Navy wife! You can do it!!! Check into groups for the wives on the base also, that would be tremendous help for you and it's there for the taking.

  You are very welcome. It is nice to find someone that is closer to my age on here. Many of the spouses are much younger and although I love having them as friends I feel like more of a big sister to them then a friend. I am always here for you if you need me. My b/f is currently deployed and I have good days and bad. You just have to take things in stride. Best of luck on everything.
