I just don’t get it, I have been off the Beta blocker Toprol Xl for over 2 months now have suffered like crazy getting off this drug and one thing that remains the same is a high heart rate and repeated Urinary Tract Infections... it was explained to me by a Pharmist that when you get off Beta Blockers they can cause a dead spot in your bladder which POOLS Urine and causes the infection over and over and I can safely say for me this has to be the case.. I only had one UTI which was 11 years ago before this and I have had 5 since I stopped taking the Beta Blockers.. you would think I could find one doctor who could piece this all together.. I am mad and frustrated my poor hubby is beside himself because as a man all he want to do is fix me we are all tired of me going through this hell, and suffering.. now I have to take CIPRO an antibiotic and they wanted me to take a high dose and I am refusing if you have ever taking this drug it is like being on CHEMO and I have talked to many other woman who have told me the same thing.. so I am doing what the Pharmist said to do and that is take a low dose for a very long period of time since this has now become Chronic.. and I have a UTI self kit at home so if it shows its gone by Monday or Tuesday then I am going to also start adding some herbs into the mix, just have to figure out besides the Garlic I am taking what to take for this now on top of my great High Heart Rate which increases when I get these infections, again just one doctor so I can walk around again, run again, be with my hubby and children again. If I can figure this stuff out on the net why did they get medical degrees to be so uncompassionate to someone in my position.. I am sorry but I am mad as hell at western medicine and what I am going thru, I am only 35 years old with no prior medical problems this should be easy enough to get all under control but I guess I got put on this road for a reason to figure it out on my own..
