When I think back to to how active I was in high school and college. I was always healthy and didn't even try or give it a second thought …
I have Type II Diabetes, I was diagnosed when I was 30yrs old and I was recently upgraded to Insulin...it sucks!

I just joined Daily Strength and saw that you are also an insulin dependant type II. I have gone to support groups locally but it seems like everyone there is either not on meds yet or are on oral meds only. It will be good to "talk" to someone who has the same experiences.
I just wanted to give you a hug and a welcome to the site. I was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago, and have myself recently been put on insulin. I'm finally able to control my sugar levels, which were VERY difficult when i was taking oral meds. I understand completely your feelings about diabetes. Deb :o)
I just want to talk to people that understand what I am talking about when I am not feeling well because of my Diabetes and not say things like, "but your only 36yrs old" As is Diabetes has an age limit.
