Hug
Thank you for the hug. I have had no success with the brace. In fact, the doctor only gave me a RH brace (even though I complained about both hands). Anyway, my hand hurt worse after wearing the brace at night. I wake up at least 1 or 2 times in the middle of the night with numb/tinging fingers, but I don't take any pain killers. I'm afraid to start on them, although the pain happens throughout the day too. It's hard to write, to drive, or to even hold my dogs' leash! I think I'm trying to just get used to it and live with it. It seems that surgery isn't successful for most people.

I'm an adult with ADHD. Not diagnosed til I was 44. Life was & can still be hard to cope with.
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- Worked very well in a small daily dose along with cognitive behavior therapy. Had to stop while taking therapy for HCV.
- Research Working / Worked
- Knowing more about ADHD,helps a great deal.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Took during HCV therapy,kept depression from flaring up in my mind.
Close Varicose Veins
Have many varicose veins& can't afford surgery.
Open Hepatitis C
I have HCV geno 1a.Start VL: 537,000.Was unable to start TX for a yr.Lowered VL to 300,00 by self during that 1yr. wait(with diet &rest)After 1st.mo. of Tx lowered VL TO 3,500.By 4mo. undectable.Continued Tx wks. .Undectable at end of 48wks.6mo. later VL:70,000. Am now seeking help.
Treatments
- Pegylated Interferon Somewhat Helpful
- Bruising & rash on site.I had huge anxiety over doing the shot.
- Ribavarin Somewhat Helpful
- Side effects were awful.lost hair,almost lost finger nails&a majority of the other side effects associated with it.

- W orked ,but I now have memory loss. I believe Inderal could be partially to blame.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Works on it now. Helps also with my ADHD problems,so I don't take adderall any more.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Works,but people treat me like a simpleton,instead of seeing that I,m trying to be nice &positive.
Open Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
I've been diagnosed with PERSISTANT CTS.
Treatments
- Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Worked briefly,took a month to heal just to start hand therapy.
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- Didn't work,because of pinched or calcified nerve endings.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- Use it when unbearable,but not often ,because it's bad for my liver.
- Wrist Splint Somewhat Helpful
- Wear them often& at night.
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- taken at bedtimenext day I use hands with no pain no braces. feels normal again. daily pain resumes when off med.
Open Degenerative Disc Disease
I was first diagnosed with this in my early 30's.Painful ,but I'm still standing.
Open Depression
Type: Post Partum DepressionBoth myself&my husband are diagnosed with this. We live with this.

- I use it now.See a major improvement.

- Helpful therapy,highly recommend.
- Cymbalta Not Working
- My husband used this briefly. He stopped because it caused .him to sleep all day. Lose all his energy.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Used for many years,but didn't interact well with adderall.
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- Switched to celexa,lexapro kept me too sleepy& hungry.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- always helps me,.but people see as silly.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Love it, go once a week .Will continue as long as possible.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Like it.
- Writing Not Working
- don't like to write.
