We have been TTC for 3 yrs. DH has super sperm. I have unexplained infertility (though I suspect I have immune issues). I do have heterozygous MTHFR. I have undergone 3 failed IVF (1 I m/c @ 8wks) and 1 failed FET (blighted ovum m/c @ 7wks). We have 13 snowbabies left and we pray we get our 2 very much wanted babies from them.

Thanks for the support on my journal. I am so sorry you have been through so much but I can totally relate. I also have the MTHFR hetero-which is controversial as to whether or not it really causes miscarriage. My new RE just has me on extra folic acid but says blood thinners are not necessary because my homocysteine levels are normal. I am really hoping that this is for us. Good Luck to you.

Hey, I see that u started your lupron on 11/3. It is so good to have someone to talk to who can relate. This is my first try. I am very nervous but I know I need to relax.

I get the B vits in my prenatal, which is pretty comprehensive, and in total i'm getting 1600iu of folic acid daily.
The reason for my being medically incapable(as opposed to infertile) is as I have Turner's syndrome in a mosiac form.
Sometimes knowing so much is a head ache, but at least it gives me an increase from 2 to 20% chance of success.
I think I will email my RE about the MTHFR, mine's the mild kind and there are 4 variable gene mutations, so I'm not sure how much I should worry about it yet.
I had 2 miscarriages myself, both naturally concieved, I'm sorry you've also have that pain in your life.

Oh and I'm also a MTHFR lady, I have 2 gene mutations and have no idea what that means other than that I get to take 1000iu of folic acid on top of the 400iu already in the prenatals i take.
How much do you get to swallow?

- I responded very well, almost too well and had OHSS twice.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- In Vitro Fertilization Working / Worked
- IVF 1: BFP m/c 8 wks IVF 2: BFN IVF 3: BFN FET 1: BFP blighted ovum m/c @ 7 wks.
- Lupron Working / Worked
- Luckily I did not have any side effects.
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- Prefer the shots to vaginal inserts since I have a retro uterus and am small framed it is difficult for the insterts.
