About Me
I'm a single mother of 3 teenage boys 15, 17 and 18. I am a Christian and love God, my sons and my church family. They all have been great support for me. I've lived in CA for 23 years and was born and raised in Boston. I worked as an admin assistant for a community college for 12 years until I lost my job in Jan., had major TOS surgery in May and am now lost in my depression I love to live in the mountains and am passionate about my family, sunsets at the ocean and white sandy beaches.

Close Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
My shoulder and right arm have been in pain for years. I never thought much of it until my hand and are started to get "tingly" a lot and turn numb and no feeling. I went to my Dr. Nov and he sent me for tests for this "Thoracic Outlet syndrome of which no one I know had ever heard of before. Feb my Dr. sent me to a Thoracic surgeon in UC Davis. He told me I had to have surgery like it was no big deal. I agreed and had surgery May 7.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI'm here to find support and commoradory (sp??) in my fight for freedom of depression. I have been diagnosed clinical depressed ptsd and am on several meds. just had surgery and need some support
Treatments
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- I found that it helped but didn't/couldn't break through. no apparent side effects
- Positive Thinking Not Working
- I try and try positive thinking all my friends tell me toit will work...but not so well for me :^(
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I have an awesome pshycologist Dr. Mark Saunders. he works well w/ my md. He is caring, understanding and very knowledgeable. When I'm really bad (like now) he calls me daily
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- I love my friends and they try to be there as much as possible, but unless you've been through it, ...well you know the drill.
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- I presently take this every morning with lexapro, no apparent side effects. It just isn't enough
- Writing Too Soon to Tell
- just started last night
- Lunesta Working / Worked
- It helps me get rem sleep that I was missing with out it.
- Abilify Not Working
- I tried it for a while but the side effects were terrible nightmares and embarrassinggas terrible non stop nasty gas!

I want to help others going through what I have gone through with my son, RAD, OCC CD, BP, etc
