I am a mom of two teenage boy. My first born contracted Lyme 10 years ago but was only diagnosed last year so his condition is chronic and stubborn. I am trying to stay strong for him but it is not easy to see his youth pass by while he struggles to live life. I suffer from depression now but the meds make me gain too much weight so I trying natural remedies.

When I'm not depressed, I like gardening, collecting one of a kind, hand made fairies, animals, Bible studies, decorating.

Hello!
I KNOW it is tough seeing your child's teenage years pass by--without them able to experience it and grow as other teens. I also KNOW how it is to watch an honor student now qualify for special ed--and be homebound. But, hopefully knowing that you're not alone in all of this can help--even a little.
Hugs to you! I'll also remember you and your family in my prayers.
Ava
Hang in there! Although my daughter has not been sick as long as your son (as far as we know), there are some similarities.....Here's hoping that things look up for you both- and soon! -Leslie
You're more than welcome to let me or anyone here know when you need a hug or more. I know what you mean about keeping things bottled up. Yesterday I got so mad for the first time in years. It was quite silly looking back at it now but at the time, not funny at ALL. I'm trying to write a journal entry about it, we'll see.
I've suffered from depression since before they even invented Prozac, so I understand that too. I hope yours is of a more temporary nature. Both you and your son have been through a lot. Good for you for figuring out the Lyme connection; it certainly does seem to fit. I'm sorry he had to suffer so much. I hate it that he got infected - I hope he didn't get MRSA?
I belong to the diabetes 2 group because my husband has it. There's a woman in that group, Goldilox2, whose husband is also bipolar. You'll run into a lot of people with a lot of similarities, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to reading more from you!
Best, -FM
Please hang in there. It sounds like you are having a horrible time. I wish you the best let me know if I can help. You're NOT alone!
I searched 9 years for a diagnosis on my son from the age of 7. Tests came back negative including Lyme. ADD meds didn't work. 3 years internet searcing, found Lyme article by Dr. Fallon. I said, OMG!That's my son. NO THANKS TO ANY Doc, I connected the dots but prognosis questionable. Symptoms R Cognitive, fatique joints, head and stomach, emotional. He attempted suicide last year and Homebound. Behind 1 year of HS. Formally A+ student. Ive since lost my son, marriage, my mind, job house.
