Sitting here, worried about the results for my guy on Tues. He is sitting outside drinking a beer (2nd one 2day). I wish he would cut down further, but it is less than before. Day after tx for him. He is achey, short-tempered, on edge. He tries so hard with everything else, can't really understand why he can't (won't?) try harder with the beer. I know he gets headaches if he cuts down 2 much or altogether for a few days. I'm suggesting a water or 2 after a beer and only smoke with the beer. Alcoholics sometimes play these games 2 cut down....he won't even try.

I don't know why his dr has him on tx if he's still drinking. The alcohol should be gone before starting, but, it is what it is. You are a dear to stand by him.

Hospital meeting went well. Rob is 2x now undetected but they want him 2 continue for 6 more months. He is type 3 and is responding slowly to meds. He also has porphyeria and possibly hemochromotitis. Guess the sun and the booze (plus little water and not eating regularly don't help much). He has decided 2 do the meds for as long as he can stand it (I'm hoping it's 6 months) and he's (& me 2!) 2 return 2 work in Sept.- off since April. I will stick by him and keep "suggesting" a better/different way.
