"Very sad today!"

Monday, June 29, 2009 | A General Update story

6/29/09

Ray had bad abdominal pain yesterday, then started complaining that his legs were very painful.  These are definitely SE's that the oncologist warned us about.  He is sleeping on/off around the clock now too.  In fact, He got up before me (not sure what time).  When I came into the living room at 8 am, he was sound asleep on the sofa, with his legs propped up....and still is... over two hours later.  Sooooo, don't really know how he is feeling this morning.  I'm feeling so insecure and frightened, even though we knew that the SE's would begin.

My dear friend will see her oncologist today.  She's had a terrible weekend of pain.  I will be most anxious to learn what she finds out.  Her kidney surgery is scheduled for Wednesday....so she's on my heart and in my prayers.

God, please take care of my precious, Ray.  Also, be with all my dear friends from DS, as they go through this same journey.  Please give us all strength and comfort....especially the ones who are suffering with this awful disease.

Oh, I'm so sad to hear your husband is having side effects. Surely the medicine is working anyway. Glad he's resting. Lord, please give Ray relief and help him cope with this next season. He needs to feel you closer to him than ever. Carry him through this, I pray.

Thank you so very much for writing and your precious prayer for Ray. How is your back today, Becki? I will be anxious to hear what transpires when you see the doctor today. What time will that be?

Dear Ingrid, You really are such a caring person. I do hope Ray will adjust in time to the new medication. Sleep can also work wonders!! Don't forget to look after yourself and get some rest.
Lots of love and hugs xxx
