Dealing with the Pain Mood
Tuesday, June 16, 2009
I was recently diagnosed with EDS- hypermobility type.  I have had this condition all my life and it has taken over 10 years to finally get a diagnosis.  Of course I got the "you must be depressed and we just don't know what's causing your pain" comments from the numerous doctors I have seen.  Although I have a significant amount of physical issues, the most debilitating is the muscle pain.  I have tried everything- exercise, massage, pain medication and nothing works well.  I am currently taking Darvocet in the day and Vicoden ES at night for the pain.  This definitely helps and allows me to still work- otherwise I would be bedridden.  Has anyone found a particular medication or therapy that helps the muscle pain?
