Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
I have persistent AFib and have been very disturbed with my quality of life since it started. I'm getting very little info from my physician and am so glad I found this group.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I've been on Coumadin for 23 years for a prosthetic mitral valve and have had no problems or side effects.
- Diltiazem Somewhat Helpful
- We are continuing to try higher and higher doses. Pulse rate has slowed from around 200 to 110. Side effects are many.
- Metoprolol Somewhat Helpful
- Still trying higher and higher doses. Main side effect is adverse lowering of blood pressure.
