Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been battling with P.T.S.D. now for almost 8 years and I am sick of it! I need to know what I can do to stop the maddening.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Considering
- I have been told this is really good for depression.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- I was on it for 3 years and I started getting the side effects...BIG TIME...so I am being wined off now.
- Lexapro Too Soon to Tell
- My Dr. has me on this and it has been 2 weeks and I don't know if I like yet or not.
- Meditation Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes it seems it makes matters worse, because my ex-boyfriend laughed at me when I did it.
- Paxil Not Working
- It didn't get the job done. I actually gained some weight while on it.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- Everyone is there for me, but I am just not there half the time.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- Hated this med.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I try to every chance I get to do this. I mainly write poetry.

- I tried it once, but I need to go deeper.
- Reading Somewhat Helpful
- It puts me in a place where I shouldnt be right now, with family and all.
- Talking Not Working
- It seems like it works for a little while then all of the emotions come flooding in.
