Shattered Mood
Thursday, July 16, 2009 | A Venting story

Been working extra hours monday to thursday this week as had to renew paediatric 1st aid certificate, so on top of my normal 12 1/2 hour working week I had to do extra 12 hours training.  Doesnt sound to bad but my shft finished at 12:30 on Mon and Wed and at 12:25 tue and Thursday then I had to get from one end of Middlesbrough to the other to start training at 1p.m.  Therefore I had no lunch break so no time to eat lunch or have a nap.......I'm exhausted.  The course finished an hour early today so thought I'd rush home and have an hour kip before I had to collect my youngest from the childminder.  As soon as I closed my eyes...body paralasis and vivid dreams.  Great (not).

Managed to bring myself out of this to sit like a zombie to afraid to go back to sleep for fear of another attack or that I now felt that shattered I might not wake up in time to collect my youngest.

I have accepted that I will never work full time again but did think I might increase my hours a little when my youngest starts full time school in January.  After working just 24 1/2 hours this week I'm not sure that I will be able to manage much more than I work now...I feel absolutely exhausted, have an headache and just feel out of it.

Was planning a nice long bath tonght but not so sure now....i'll do my typical falling asleep in the bath as soon as I relax and be that exhausted when I come round I'll just climb out and into bed, I suppose I could try the shower.

Anyway thats my grumble today.  Hopefully feel better tomorrow as my 1st Aid course completed and I passed.  Back to normal shifts today.

Ho yeah and thought I'd mention that when they covered epelepsy, fits and convultions cataplexy was not mentioned.   I had to speak up and let them know that
cataplexy does exist.
