Close Bipolar Disorder
I have suffered with Bipolar type 2 for 19 years and have tried a lot of different meds to help stabilize my moods. It's getting easier, but still not 100% yet.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- It made me sleep all day
- Depakote Not Working
- This was the worst medication to be on. My dr had me on it while I was pregnant with my youngest son and he was born with the syndrome associated with the drug. He is cognitively impaired with a brain injury thanks to the drug.
- Geodon Working / Worked
- Currently taking 80mg and it seems to be helping some
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Currently taking 200mg at night and I guess it's working as well as possible. Haven't had a manic cycle for several months now
- Topamax Not Working
- The side effects were too hard to deal with, but still want to consider it again for it's weight loss side effect
Close Anxiety
I suffer with anxiety attacks every night when I get into bed. I'm not sure why, it just has happened for close to a year now. I'm on Restoril 15mg plus a Niravam 0.5mg and they help. I'm trying to wean myself off of the Restoril right now.

Open Down Syndrome
I'm looking to connect with other parents with older children with down syndrome. I have a 19 yr old daughter and am experiencing some challenges with her.
Open Asperger Syndrome
I have a 13 yr old daughter with AS and would like to know that there are others like me out there. Sometimes I feel so alone.
