My name is Sharon, I have been married to Chuck for 22 yrs now. He was diagnosed with Cirrhosis in late 2007 from complications of hep c. Things have really been moving at a fast pace this year, being accepted for a liver transplant but very low on the list with a number of 11 this week last month was a 12 .The end of last month he was hospitalized with high ammonia levels. I NEVER heard about this and scared the you know what out of me. Dr's say this is likely to happen again. I have searched for support systems here in town but happend on this web site and reading experiences from others has already given me more information than anywhere else.

Interests
Gosh we used to travel so much and thankful now that we did cause now that Chuck is retired his health keeps us from getting to far from home. Our kids live in Ohio and make it down when they can. We enjoy getting fishing when its not so hot and getting together with our neighbors.

Thanks we are okay, Hubby is pretty much symptom free for the time being. As you can see in the pic he is still very thin and frail. We take it one day at a time. I've been following your journals, I am sorry chuck is having such a hard time, it can't be easy on you.
