my heart goes out to you, im a gambler so i can see were your husband is coming from, but my mother was an alcoholic and as a child suffered because of it in the sense of no food no heat etc, but your children are lucky, they have you to care for them, if your husband truly wants to quit get him on here my new friends are fantastic im on day 2 of no gambling and my strength comes from them and the feeling of self worth they give me,talk to me any time as i do know what its like growing up with a destructive parent maybe i could help him on that side of what hes doing to you and those beautiful children, i cant advise how to stop his gambling as im a gambler and i think thats something he has to figure out on how to stop in a way that heals him

My husband has a gambling "problem". I kicked him out the other day after he spent all our money (and then some) for the second time. The first time he spent all of the kids college and savings and dipped into retirement, swore he'd never do it again. He did, I caught him and asked him to leave. He says he knows he has a problem, but I am so numb right now, I don't care. UPDATE: My husband is now home, and beginning treatment.
Treatments
- Gamblers Anonymous Working / Worked
- I have had no experience, my husband is currently attending.
