I am a 53 year old female who has been gambling for 15 years or so. i LOVE slots. Through the years I have won some large amounts but I have spent tons more than I have won. Its like a fix....can't stop...want more...never enough. An addiction just as bad as crack cocaine, alcohol, or pornography. Thank God for a loving husband who I have confided in recently and who...believe it or not...still loves me! I have been almost a month free from the casino. I quit smoking 5 years ago. I can hardly wait until I can say its been 5 years since I have been to the casino. This addiction is much worse. Keep me in your prayers.

I love to sew and actually just made a porch swing cushion today. I love to sit out on my porch and drink coffee in the morning. I have a beautiful garden and am enjoying harvesting the fruits of my labors. I play Bunko once a month with a group of friends. Try to stay busy. Attend church regularly along with attending the women's group once a month.

Owe you a hug....and an apology. I sort of gave you a between the eyes response to your post....probably one that you didn't deserve. Sorry. Going through a tough time with my CG H who knows he shouldn't go but thinks he can handle it on his own....yet still sneaks there behind my back. It's a very sensitive issue...giving into the itch...and I'm afraid I launched on you because I feel so powerless about it in MY world. You at least admit you need to stop....admit you are tempted and come to DS to try and fight it. That's way more than my H does.....so please...you keep on coming here...and stay gambling free. Remember all the things you enjoyed doing before gambling took over. Bless you for being honest with yourself.....and sorry again for going over the top.
