When my youngest daughter was 6 months old she has surgery for a nasopharangeal abcess and the delays she had experienced to this point were blown off as related to the abcess that had been growing. When her delays did not improve by 8 months we were very concerned and began the long process of finding a diagnosis that is still elusive.

Treatments

Physical Therapy Working / Worked

We have a great therapist that we attempt to see monthly but due to testing and appointments with various doctors we are usually doing this every other month

Occupational Therapy Working / Worked

This has been the best experience for us. Our therapist comes to our home or daycare once a week and works with us to help us know what to do with Mia to help her function to the best of her ability.
