Close Addison's Disease
I was diagnosed 8 1/2 years ago with Addisons Disease. I started getting dizzy and passing out when I was 13. They told me it was because of loss of blood during periods. When I was approx. 18 it got worse. I was passing out and getting dizzy on a regular basis. I eventually started throwing up and losing my vision when I would get dizzy. After a few months I couldn't even walk/stand. My Dr. figured it out, put me on my meds. and here I am today.
Treatments
- Florinef Working / Worked
- 0.1mg tablets taken once a day in the morning. This medication seemed to work great for me. Haven't experienced any sort of side effects.
- Hydrocortisone Working / Worked
- 10mg tablets taken 3 times per day, two pills in the morning and one in the evening (30mg per day total). I feel a lot of fatigue which can be a side effect of the medication. I have been on my current medication for 8 12 years but only experienced this effect for the past 2yrs.
