      I was diagnosed with narcolepsy 5 years ago, mostly affected by parasomnias at night and EDS during the day. I do get sleep paralysis at time and other symptoms that are indicative of cataplexy, but no true cataplexy during the day. If I had not worked in neuroscience and trained as a specialist nurse in this area I would never have been diagnosed (I believe).

      Treatments

      Provigil Working / Worked
      Works but hate the side effects - headaches, lowers mood, appetite suppresant. But it works to keep me functional.
